A Guide to Fox Chapel

The Borough of Fox Chapel, one of metropolitan Pittsburgh’s affluent communities, is on the northeast side of Pittsburgh, along the Allegheny River and Route 28, about 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh by car. More about Fox Chapel at Wikipedia.

Believe it or not, no restaurant or hotel or other business, with these exceptions, is in Fox Chapel itself. (More Fox Chapel FAQs.)They are in the communities surrounding it: the Boroughs of Aspinwall and Blawnox, the City of Pittsburgh (Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood), and O’Hara Township. Further north along Route 28, leaving Pittsburgh, are Harmarville and the Borough of Springdale. Further south along Route 28, towards Pittsburgh, are the Boroughs of Sharpsburg, Etna, and Millvale.

Getting to Fox Chapel

From the airport
24 miles, 45 minutes
